If you are not currently licensed or certified in the State of Washington, you must, at minimum, become a Registered Counselor in order to work in the mental health field. Confirmation of a current registration will be required for employment with Community Psychiatric Clinic.

In order to apply for a counselor registration in Washington State, you must first have completed a 4-hour AIDS training course. Once your application is submitted, the application process can take up to 3-4 weeks. We encourage you to begin this process as soon as possible if you are interested in working in the field of mental health.
