At
CPC, we believe that mentally ill persons can more fully receive the
benefit of their treatment by having the security of basic shelter.
CPC's "continuum of care" means we pay close attention to our clients'
changing needs. From intensive, 24-hour supervised living, to the independence
of one's own apartment, CPC can help provide the housing needed.
Residential
Programs
CPC's residential
facilities provide a safe, stable environment where chronically mentally
ill adults can achieve personal goals and improved quality of life.
Highly trained staff offer 24-hour supervision and opportunities for
residents to develop independent living skills to help them work toward
achieving more independent living situations.
Housing
Accessible, affordable
and safe community-based housing options are provided according to client
preference, eligibility requirements, and clinical need. Options include:
  Cluster
Houses - Two to five clients share semi-independent living with regular
contact from CPC housing staff.
 Specialized
Recovery Houses - Specialized recovery houses for clients with co-occurring
disorders of mental illness and chemical dependency.
 Apartments
- Independent living and case management services provided at new buildings
with on-site management and located close to bus lines, shopping and
other services.
 Housing
Subsidies - Section 8 certificates, Shelter Plus Care, and subsidized
set-aside apartments are available.
Transitional
Housing
 Cedar
House is a transitional housing/residential treatment facility that
provides housing and services for homeless mentally ill young adults
ages 18 to 24.
 The
Willows provides longer term stable housing and services for 15 mentally
ill and chemically dependent, pregnant or post partum, mothers and children.
Safe Haven
Harbor
House provides 20 units of housing and engagement services for chronically
homeless, mentally ill individuals who may be disabled by alcoholism
or substance abuse. This program is modeled after other highly successful
Safe Haven programs across the nation which have effectively transitioned
homeless persons into permanent housing.
Hospital Diversion
and Crisis Respite
CPC has private
beds designated to provide adults experiencing a mental health crisis,
an alternative to psychiatric hospitalization, including a special crisis
diversion program for developmentally disabled clients.
