Holiday Helpers a success thanks to CPC donors

Every year Community Psychiatric Clinic conducts its Holiday Helpers campaign to purchase needed but inexpensive items as gifts for clients, such as toiletries, warm clothing, food certificates and bedding, which will help our clients focus on their goal of recovery. These items are wrapped and distributed to the most needy clients and families enrolled in services at CPC.

Thanks to the generosity of CPC's donors and vendors, we raised almost $9,000 in cash and merchandise to provide essential gifts to our most needy clients, making 2004 one of our most successful Holiday Helpers ever.

Over 1,200 individually wrapped gifts, including clothing, bedding, toiletries and food certificates, were wrapped in two sessions, during the annual December board meeting/supper on December 6th and the following Saturday, the 11th, by community volunteers. Northwest Prescriptions donated pizza and soda pop as lunch for the volunteers.

Our three residential treatment facilities: El Rey, Cascade Hall and Keystone, also received generous independent contributions from family members to purchase gifts for residents.

We appreciate the generous support we’ve received this year. Thank you!
