Child and Family Outpatient

Child and Family Outpatient Mental Health Services

Community Psychiatric Clinic provides developmentally-appropriate outpatient mental health services and counseling to:
•   Children of all ages
•   Adolescents
•   Young adults up to age 21
•   Parents and Families

Our caring and trained clinicians provide thorough developmental assessments, individual services, family therapy, skill building groups, parent support, and case management, which are designed to help clients and their families recognize and build upon their strengths to achieve emotional stability.  Evaluations for medication are available from a psychiatrist or nurse practitioner, if needed.

CPC’s Child and Family team works to coordinate our services with other systems families may be involved with, including schools, child welfare, foster care, court and probation, chemical dependency providers, and others.  We are able to provide intensive wraparound services for multiple-system involved families including flexible family services, parent support and more.

Parent support groups offer the skills needed to raise emotionally healthy youth in today’s challenging environment.  Youth groups provide skills to build positive social interactions and regulate emotions.

Services address emotional and behavioral issues such as:
•   Sadness
•   Anger
•   Worry
•   Trauma
•   Grief and loss
•   Attention problems or hyperactivity
•   Learning disabilities
•   Truancy
•   Running away
•   Drug or alcohol use
•   Poor interpersonal skills
•   Involvement with negative peers
•   Legal involvement
•   Acting out behavior
•   Domestic violence
•   Physical or sexual abuse

Outpatient mental health services for children and families are available at our Lake City and Northgate locations.
